     I wish to suggest the following presentation of sections X006-8 of the Executive Summary for a more friendly reading  for the busy Executive and the uninformed. 

      
        Proposal Summary      
X006   The  Namesproposal was developed in the Cross Community Working Group to          Developan IANA Stewardship Transition Proposal on Naming Related Functions (CWG). The  community proposed to:o  form a new, separate legalentity, Post-Transition IANA (PTI), as an affiliate   (subsidiary) of ICANN that would become theIANA functions operator in contract with ICANN. The legal jurisdiction in whichICANN resides is to remain unchanged.o  create  a Customer Standing Committee (CSC)responsible for monitoring the operator’s performance according to thecontractual requirements and service level expectation      o  establish a multistakeholderIANA Function Review process (IFR) to conduct reviews of the performance of thenaming functions.      X007 The Numbers communityproposed that:o  ICANN continue to serve as theIANA Functions Operator and perform those services under a contract with thefive Regional Internet Registries (RIRs).o  contractual Service LevelAgreement (SLA) between the Regional Internet Registries and the IANA NumberingServices Operator and,o  a Review Committee (RC)comprising community representatives from each region to advise the RIRs on theIANA functions operator’s performance and adherence to identified servicelevels. X008  The ProtocolParameters, currently served by ICANN as the IANA registries operator expressedsatisfaction with the subsisting arrangements and proposed:o   that the IANA protocol parameters registryupdates continue to function day-to-day, as they have been doing for the lastdecade or more.  o  to continue to rely on thesystem of agreements, policies, and oversight mechanisms created by the IETF,ICANN, and IAB for the provision of the protocols parameters-related IANAfunction.
