Dear ICG Colleagues,

The first draft of the proposed SLA between ICANN and the RIRs (as specified by the CRISP proposal) has now been released, here:

https://www.nro.net/news/call-for-comments-for-a-draft-sla-for-the-iana-numbering-services

Please do take note of the cover note at that URL, which explains that the SLA development has involved NO discussions or negotiation with ICANN or other parties, to date; rather it is intended as a faithful representation of the CRISP proposal, and draws also from the existing NTIA-ICANN contract (all of which is footnoted in detail throughout the document).

To quote:

> A first draft of the SLA has been produced and available at http://www.nro.net/sla. The content of this draft is NOT the result of negotiations with ICANN or any other parties, and it has not yet been reviewed by the CRISP team.

The RIRs do of course expect and encourage a full and open discussion of this document; and they will themselves publish their own commentary on the draft, in the near future.

Thanks,

Paul.
