[Internal-cg] Draft status announcement and front page disclaimer

I took an action on the weekend to draft up a status announcement to go on our web site and a disclaimer to go on the title page of the proposal to indicate its status. Of course we need to finish the proposal first but I want to share these now so people have time to review them before we meet on Friday.

These leverage the formulation provided by Daniel to explain the dependency. I have also promulgated this in the proposal itself and will be circulating that updated document shortly.


Status announcement:

 ICG Awaits Conclusion of Work on ICANN-Level Accountability Mechanisms

The ICG has finalized the IANA Stewardship Transition Proposal with the exception of one outstanding item: confirmation from the CWG that its requirements related to ICANN-level accountability mechanisms have been met. These mechanisms are currently under development in the CCWG. Once the CWG has confirmed that its requirements have been met, the ICG will send the transition proposal to the ICANN Board for forwarding to NTIA.

  

Disclaimer for the title page of the proposal:

 INTERIM PROPOSAL

This document has not yet been finalized. The names portion of the proposal, developed by the CWG, is complete on the condition that the dependencies on ICANN-level accountability mechanisms, currently under development in the CCWG, are concluded as specified in the names portion of the proposal. Before finalizing and sending this document to the ICANN Board for submission to NTIA, the ICG will seek confirmation from the CWG that its requirements have been met.
