It has the advantage of increased brevity and removing the ungainly "... related to actions relating to..."

I have no problems.

Martin,

I agree with your idea, and suggest a slight tweaking:

"“Establishment of mechanisms to resolve complaints and problems related to actions pertaining to the operation of the naming functions”.

Objet: [Internal-cg] Issue resolution mechanisms

In paragraph 107 of v4 I took away an action on the eighth bullet, “Establishment of issue resolution mechanisms for complaints and problems related to the naming functions”.

The relevant sections of the CWG proposal are (I think) the Customer Standing Committee, customer complaint resolution (Annex I) and problem resolution process (Annex J). In that framework, the wording is ok, if not very precise. The processes are those directly related to the performance of the IANA functions operator and an ability to put right errors or the IANA functions operator going out of mandate.

As such I wonder whether a small clarification would perhaps help: “Establishment of issue resolution mechanisms for complaints and problems related to actions relating to the operation of the naming functions”.

I’d welcome views.
