as promised at our meeting today, I've prepared v4 of the draft ICG Communications Strategy (encl.).

You will notice that I have left aside
- items to be discussed with ICANN/Comm at our meeting tomorrow (Thursday 25),
- all specific calendar events and the related details, which should IMO be dealt with in a separate email, once the Communications Strategy has been approved by the full ICG.

Tomorrow Thursday 25 June, I will have to leave our joint meeting with ICANN-Comm for about 10 minutes, starting at 13:45. I'm sorry, I do not have the possibility to change this schedule. I'll come back to our joint meeting as soon as possible.

Editing notes related to the Strategy document: 
1. 'Purpose & Context' section to be edited. 
2. Notes to be renamed as 'operational plan' and split into a separate document. 
3. ICG Social Media - Facebook and Twitter will be maintained. ICG will also rely on ICANN Comms to broaden/’re-tweet’/link. 
4. Incoming media and speaking requests - section to be combined. ICG Secretariat to be the point person. 
5. Proactive media outreach - ask ICANN Comms to get in touch with media/press/agencies . 
6. Media monitoring - to rely on ICANN Comms Team's technical capabilities. 
7. Request the ICANN Comms Team to develop a specific media plan around the specific calendar event (Public Comment) - to be discussed with ICANN Comms tomorrow. 
8. Slide decks explaining community processes, works, proposals- content must come from the community (ICG members' input). 
9. Translations of slide decks (and other outreach materials) - request for translation of key materials that are finalized. 
10. Webinars: ICG to do three webinars (3 different time zones) just after the opening of the public comment period. 
11. Talking points: ensure that FAQ is up to date. 
12. Short videos - to ask for volunteers (from ICG members?) could be free form. 

General concerns: 
1. Clear labeling of what is 'ICG official materials' and what is not. 
2. Importance of using ICG as a resource vetting materials for accuracy. 

Mailing list and archive policy: 
1. Private archive
2. May need to create a larger mailing list that includes ICANN Comms Team and others. 

Action Items: 
1. Subrenat to edit Strategy document v3 and circulate to the ICG mailing list tonight (24 June). 
2. Secretariat to switch archive settings to private and then send note announcing this to the group. 

Topics to raise at ICANN Comms Team follow up meeting: 
1. Request the development a specific media plan around the specific calendar event (Public Comment) - to be discussed with ICANN Comms tomorrow. 
- prioritized items in red above (items 8 and 10 in the Editing notes list). 
2. What are the logistics of how to get agreed upon content to the designers (direct meetings/content to be sent through ICANN Comms?). 
3. Request translations of key slides and finalized materials
