[Internal-cg] Face 2 face Dublin

Allow me to share a few thoughts until we talk:
- I believe splitting our meetings before and after the ICANN week turned to be very useful in BA
- Sunday seems to be an extremely busy day (also for me) .. Would Saturday morning work? for everyone?
- Prior to the ICANN meeting, I believe we may need more than a couple of hours (ICG analysis of Public comments received - preparatory work for the week - communications plan for this phase which is also identified as peak time, agree on place holders in the final proposal where we need to reflect CCWG approval, if and when approved, ...) .. or this will be mostly finished intersessionally?
- After the ICANN meeting, when CCWG proposal is hopefully approved by its chartering organizations, we can reflect this where we have our place holders; yet, as agreed in BA, we still need to communicate with CWG to make sure the proposal meets the names community requirements .. what is the timeframe for this? will this be accomplished at Dublin? Via a Letter? Email? Meeting? Call?.. Finally are we going to reference the whole CCWG proposal? attach all CCWG recommendations? reference specific names-related CCWG recommendations?

Looking forward to further discuss on the call ..

Kind Regards
--Manal

I also agree. We do need to spend some time preparing for the week - what questions (if any) we think are still outstanding, for example, as well as the state of play on our own draft (including any additional comments that we have received).

But our main work will be at the end of the week when (for the names bit): CCWG has finalised its proposal and that has gone through the Chartering Organisations; and CWG has accepted that the CCWG report meets its requirements and that this has been validated by the Chartering Organisations.

Whether Sunday (quite a busy day for many who are active in ICANN) is the best day for the prepare meeting, I have my doubts.

One thought I have: should the ICG solicit a meeting with Larry Strickling to present our expected final proposal?

Martin

I agree.

Hope we can confirm the Sunday timing soon.

Also, I suggest to schedule for a full day on Friday.

Paul.
